Terms of Service

The Service is operated by Nicolae Cojuhari, based in Austria (“we”, “us”). Legal notices: contact@king-of-the.world. Player support: support@king-of-the.world.

If these Terms and the Rules conflict, these Terms control.

King of the World is an entertainment product: a social game in which players support each other’s public pages with GRN, and whoever holds the most wears a purely cosmetic title called “King of the World” - which is also the name of the game itself. It is a leaderboard for fun, comparable to a virtual gift or fan-vote feature: no prizes, no winnings, no wagering, no chance.

• The title is fiction. “King of the World”, “#1 in [country]”, and every other rank or badge exist only inside this game. They confer no legal status, authority, right, endorsement, or claim of any kind, anywhere.
• Nothing is won. There is no prize, payout, reward, or benefit of monetary value for any rank, including #1. The only thing a rank gives you is visibility inside the Service.
• Nothing is left to chance. Scores are the exact sum of GRN received. The result of every like, donation, or purchase is known before you make it. The Service is not a lottery, wager, contest of chance, or gambling of any kind.
• Nobody is paid. The operator never pays money to players. Players never pay money to each other. Money flows one way - from a player to us when they buy GRN - and never back.
• You can play fully, and reach #1, without ever spending money: every player gets one free like per day.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
• You may hold one account, in your own name or persona. Pages exist only for people who signed up themselves.
• You may not use the Service where doing so is prohibited by law, including under applicable sanctions.

GRN (short for Grains, the game’s points) are a virtual item used only inside the Service. Free GRN come from likes; purchased GRN go straight to your score and can be donated to any other page. GRN received by a page are added to that page’s score permanently.

• GRN have no cash value and are not money, e-money, a security, a voucher, a deposit, or property outside the Service.
• GRN cannot be refunded, exchanged, cashed out, sold, transferred between accounts, or moved outside the Service. There is no secondary market and we prohibit any attempt to create one.
• Supporting someone spends your GRN: your score goes down by exactly what theirs goes up. You cannot go below zero, and you cannot support yourself.
• We may change GRN pricing, minimums, or pack sizes for future purchases. We will never retroactively change a score.
• GRN are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use a feature of the Service - not an asset you own.

GRN purchases are processed by Paddle (https://www.paddle.com), which acts as the merchant of record and handles card data, invoicing, and applicable taxes. We never see or store your card number. Paddle’s own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment itself. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout.

Current rate: $1 = 10 GRN, minimum purchase 100 GRN ($10). The rate and minimum shown at checkout are the ones that apply to that purchase.

GRN are digital content added to your score the moment payment is confirmed, and you can use them immediately. All purchases are final and non-refundable. Being outranked, dethroned, giving GRN to a page that is later removed, disliking a feature, downtime, or your own account being closed for breach does not create a refund.

By completing checkout you ask us to deliver the GRN immediately and acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period to the extent the law allows that waiver. Where a consumer right cannot be waived, we honour it. Chargebacks or payment disputes without a legally required basis are a breach of these Terms; we may remove GRN, freeze the account, and refuse future service.

You are responsible for everything on your page - name, handle, avatar, country, pitch, message, and link. You must not:

• Impersonate a person, brand, or organisation, or use a page to mock a person who hasn’t joined.
• Post sexual, pornographic, hateful, harassing, violent, or illegal content, or link to it.
• Link to malware, phishing, scams, chat/group-invite links, link shorteners, or anything that requires a licence you don’t hold (financial, medical, gambling, weapons, and similar).
• Use automation, fake or duplicate accounts, purchased engagement, or any other manipulation to generate likes, donations, or purchases.
• Interfere with the Service - scraping beyond ordinary browsing, bypassing rate limits, probing security, or reverse engineering beyond what mandatory law allows.
• Use the Service to launder money, evade sanctions, or move value between people.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and adapt (for sizing and layout) your page content and the public game record (scores, donation rows, and daily like totals), for as long as needed to operate, promote, and archive the Service.

We may hide, edit, restrict, or remove any page or content, and may mute, suspend, or close any account, with or without notice, where we believe these Terms, the Rules, or the law have been broken, where a rights holder or platform complains, or where a page creates legal, security, or reputational risk. Removal never creates a refund - not for the page owner, and not for anyone who donated to it.

Scores are a public record. When an account is closed, we anonymise the profile rather than delete the ledger, so other players’ public histories stay accurate.

If you believe a page infringes your copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, email contact@king-of-the.world with: your name and contact details; the page URL; a description of the problem; and a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act. We may restrict the page while we review and may share the notice with its owner.

The Service is provided as-is. It may be unavailable, slow, or wrong. We may change the game - including rules, GRN pricing, features, and these Terms - at any time. Material changes update the date at the top of this page; continued use afterwards means you accept them. For a purchase already completed, the Terms in effect at checkout still apply to that purchase. We may pause or discontinue the Service; if we do, unspent GRN are not refunded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Service is uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any score, rank, name, or link is accurate. Links from pages leave the Service; those destinations are their owners’ responsibility, not ours.

We do not limit liability that applicable law says cannot be limited, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. Subject to that: we are not liable for lost profits, data, goodwill, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; for slight negligence we are liable only for foreseeable breach of essential duties and only for typical, foreseeable damage; and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

You will defend and indemnify Nicolae Cojuhari and people working on the Service against claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising from your page, your links, your conduct, your chargebacks, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else’s rights.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer protected by mandatory law where you live, that law still protects you. For non-consumers, the courts at our place of residence have exclusive jurisdiction, to the extent permitted.

• If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stands, and the invalid part is replaced by the valid term closest to its intent.
• Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may, in connection with a transfer of the Service.
• These Terms, the Rules, the Privacy Policy, and the checkout details you confirm are the entire agreement.
• Payments, hosting, and email involve third parties (Paddle, Vercel, Supabase). Their outages or decisions are outside our control.
